Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy

Therapy That Gets You—Because Your Brain Isn’t the Problem.

You deserve support that honors your lived experience, your wiring, and your way of moving through the world.

What Is Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy?

Neurodivergent-affirming therapy is care that recognizes neurodivergence as a difference, not a disorder to fix. Whether you’re autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive, or exploring your identity—this is a space where you don’t have to mask, explain, or apologize for how you show up.

We support clients who are diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or simply curious about their neurotype. No gatekeeping. No pressure. Just curiosity, compassion, and care that meets you where you are.Our team of experienced counselors uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices, to help our clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviors. We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, addressing both the mind and body.

Common Topics We Explore Together:

  • Navigating sensory overwhelm, burnout, or shutdowns

  • Relationships, boundaries, and social energy management

  • RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria) and emotional regulation

  • Masking, identity fatigue, and unmasking in safe ways

  • Career challenges and executive functioning support

  • Healing from internalized ableism or past therapeutic harm

Our Approach

You won’t find pathologizing here.
Instead, we offer:

  • Validation over fixing

  • Collaboration over prescription

  • Adaptation over assimilation

We may blend talk therapy, EMDR (if trauma is involved), mindfulness, and concrete tools for managing stress, structure, and relationships—but always in a way that works with your brain, not against it.

Who We Work With:

  • Autistic adults and teens

  • ADHDers

  • Highly sensitive people (HSPs)

  • Gifted or twice-exceptional (2e) clients

  • Those exploring a neurodivergent identity later in life

  • Parents of neurodivergent children

  • Anyone who has always felt “different” and wants to understand why

Why Clients Choose Us:

  • Lived experience + clinical expertise

  • No masking, no judgment, no “fix-it” energy

  • Sensory-friendly office space (for in-person sessions)

  • Flexible session structure and communication styles

  • Trauma-informed and EMDR-trained where needed

  • LGBTQIA+ affirming and identity-safe

Therapy Shouldn’t Ask You to Be Less of Yourself.

Here, you get to take off the mask, drop the pressure, and be met with respect, insight, and care. Let’s work together to build a life that supports your nervous system, honors your strengths, and holds space for the hard stuff too.
